A Deeper Love follows nearly a decade in the life of Miss Peppermint, a Black trans artist and activist whose public coming out marked a turning point for trans representation on stage and screen. From New York City nightlife to history-making runs on RuPaul’s Drag Race and Broadway, the film traces her ascent while capturing the emotional stakes behind the spotlight.
Built from years of intimate access and unguarded footage, the documentary reveals Peppermint in full, navigating transition, survival, intimacy, and chosen family within a circle of trans sisters who shaped a cultural shift.
