Filmed largely by director Oriel Pe’er with a single camera over nearly a decade in New York City, the film captures Peppermint’s journey from the underground stages of nightlife to global visibility through RuPaul’s Drag Race and her groundbreaking appearances on Broadway.
Moving between intimate private moments and major public milestones, the documentary reveals the realities behind the spotlight: the struggle to survive as a working artist, the pressure of becoming a symbol, and the friendships and chosen family that sustain her along the way.
